APVMA. In 2003 the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) a federal government body whose responsibilities include the registration of swimming pool chemicals actioned a requirement for manufactures of swimming pool ionization systems to register their copper/silver electrodes. Initially there was some industry resistance and legal challenges to the requirement which includes an annual levy based on sales volume to be paid to the APVMA. Interestingly and for reasons still unexplained manufacturers of salt water chlorinators have never been required to register their product or pay a levy to the APVMA. The EnviroSwim copper/silver electrodes are registered with the APVMA our approval number is 58847. Please don't be fooled by unscrupulous sales personal who attempt to use the issue above to discredit our products, they probably have a vested interest in another product or pool chemical.
Beware of look-a- like copies
EnviroSwim the innovators now have imitators. Unfortunately there are companies deceiving & misleading customers by passing off their product as an EnviroSwim ES3 look-a-like All genuine EnviroSwim systems have the EnviroSwim name on the front of the control box. Our systems are the only ones that have been tested and proven by government laboratories and accepted by State Government & City Council for use in their public pools in Australia and New Zealand. In the United States EnviroSwim has been approved and listed under its own unique heading “Water Treatment Devices” by the industry recognized NSF laboratories to the NSF 50 water sanitization requirements. Beware there are even companies selling units that use cheap 100% copper electrodes (no silver)!
